Van Geest Design has released details on a very exciting new project, the 85m. This 85 meter concept is the combination of two distinctive developments. One is a yacht with crisp lines without having the interior volume dictating the exterior styling. There are four decks giving a low and sleek eye catching design.
With a plumb bow and a low superstructure the yacht is in balance and has this unique look. The second is an open air lifestyle. The transom has been cut open to the water level, unfolding a true beach waterfront living, feeling close to the elements and giving an absolute freedom.
The yacht has two owner’s staterooms. The beach cabin on the water level can be used when at anchor while the other on main deck can be used at sea, just as a summer and winter suite. The beach cabin can be closed by watertight doors. These are different lifestyles when cruising and at anchoring.
The main deck is at sea the owner’s stateroom including offices and large reception areas. The aft part is the main entertaining area, in and out, giving access to the open transom. The wheelhouse and navigation areas are forward on the bridge deck while a panoramic lounge and exterior entertaining are aft. The sky deck is the main sunbathing area with a Jacuzzi and a fantastic exterior dining with a full 360 degree panoramic view.
Crew and services are located on the lower deck forward, aft are the guest cabins. Dedicated bays for tenders and toys are between the beach cabin and the engine room. These bays are joined by technical spaces for engineers to service and control the engine room.
This yacht has been developed to the essential of life on board and its sheer enjoyment.
