Young designer Adam Voorhees is honored to announce that he has been named the World Superyacht Young Designer of the Year at the 2010 World Superyacht Awards. Adam received the award for his design of Ra; the superyacht with a visionary approach to the connections between luxury, comfortable living, and the nautical lifestyle. 
The website of Zuccon International Project, the architecture and design company run by the designers Gianni Zuccon and Paola Galeazzi, is now online. The new website, which has an Italian and an English version, was designed by Bernardo Zuccon with consultancy by Andreasculati Agency, and developed by the web agency Roberto Fonio. 
Dickie Bannenberg and Simon Rowell are pleased to announce that Bannenberg Designs will be known as Bannenberg & Rowell Design as of today. The studio was founded by Dickie’s father, the late Jon Bannenberg, in the early 60s and notable designs include the 138m Rising Sun, 67m Siran and more recent projects include Predator and Natori. 
Bannenberg & Rowell Design is working with major shipyards around the world on many different superyacht projects. They are working with Baglietto on the interior of a 41 metre yacht, in the United States with Trinity Yachts on the design of a 60 metre motor yacht and other projects include two 60 metre Abeking yachts, and an 85 metre Lürssen. 
In the summer of 1996, Stefano Pastrovich received an architectural degree, with honors, from the University of Genoa . Straight from university, Stefano started his career as a naval architect with the Martin Francis Design Studio. It was at the Francis Studio where Stefano had the opportunity to work on the 54 metre Senses. 
Queenship of Canada commissioned JQB Ltd for the design of their new 73ft series. Also, a gorgeous 142ft new build design for Crescent Custom Yachts is currently under construction at the same Vancouver shipyard. And last but not least, the design studio has completed the preliminary designs for a new 64ft motor yacht for Horizon Yachts. 
In March Edmiston released information and drawings of the 72m Red Square, to be built by Dunya Yachts in Turkey. This impressive yacht is designed by the Monaco based design studio, Sterling Scott. We got in touch with Diana Scott and found out that although her studio may be very new, she has been in the industry for many years.
