Patrick Knowles is pleased to announce that Janet L. Schlembach has joined Patrick Knowles Designs, the custom yacht and aircraft interior design firm based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Ms. Schlembach’s career includes many years of experience in yacht, residential and commercial design. She was previously vice president at Paola D. Smith & Associates in Fort Lauderdale before joining Patrick Knowles Designs as design project manager.

“Janet is an excellent fit for our firm, “ says Knowles, president of Patrick Knowles Designs. “It’s rare to find someone of her caliber and breadth of experience in high-end yacht interior design as well as commercial and residential work, and also international experience, which is important given the global scope of our client base and projects.”

Ms. Schlembach will be responsible for supervising projects from beginning to end, overseeing project production and directing office departments and staff. Janet has more than 20 years experience in design and has overseen the production of many different projects from start to finish, including design development, space planning, furniture and finishes selection as well as scheduling and production coordination. In addition to her work in Fort Lauderdale, Janet has worked internationally in Italy, Germany, Morocco, Greece and Malaysia on a variety of yacht, residential and commercial projects.

Janet joins a growing team of designers and other staff at Patrick Knowles Designs, which now includes 10 employees. The firm recently purchased the building next to its current offices and will double the size of its offices by late summer.

Ms. Schlembach resides in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She has been a part of the Victoria Park Holiday Home Tour as the chair for the past three years and is on the Victoria Park Civic Association Aesthetics Committee. Janet also sat on the advisory board for Broward Community College’s Design Development.
