Monte Fino Europe has announced that it sold a custom 30.5m semi‐displacement luxury superyacht at the 2010 London International Boat Show and in addition received a number of good quality enquiries during the course of the ten day event. The Perini Navi Group has just informed SuperYachtTimes.com that at the end of 2009 the company closed the sale of a 40 metre fast cruising cutter. Project C. 2180 will be delivered in 2012 and was the third contract signed by Perini Navi in 2009. The superyacht is designed by the in-house design team of Perini Navi in co-operation with Ron Holland. Read More

Ocea Shipyard, located in Les Sables d’Olonne on the French Atlantic Coast and builder of the Ocea Commuter and Ocea Classic Yacht Series, has signed a build contract for the first Ocea Classic 72 to be delivered for the summer 2011. Amels has announced the sale of the second 54-metre Limited Editions Amels 177. The Amels 177 is an evolution of the Amels 171, with an optional touch-and-go helipad, plus a spacious “beach club” and a larger transom door for easier water-toy handling. Fincantieri has signed a contract for the construction of a seven-deck motor yacht of 140 metres in length. The superyacht will be identified as “Hull # 6218”. The design concept is based on the succesful M/Y Metsuyan IV and she will also be built at CBI Navi, part of Fipa Group, in Italy.
