Merijn de Waard

Merijn's passion for yachts came at a very early age while sailing on the Dutch lakes with a 10m (32.8ft) sail boat of friends. As soon as he came in touch with the world of superyachts he knew that his future would be in this industry.

To strengthen his knowledge about the yacht industry Merijn choose the graduate on the issues of yacht registration and regulations for superyacht financer, Ciris Capital.

After graduating and the success of www.Yacht-Images.com Merijn started to work on a new project, an online magazine. After six months of developing SuperyachtTimes.com is now reality and as you will discover the site will be updated every day (Monday to Friday) with new yachts, companies and news.

Besides taking care for the day-to-day business of Yacht-Images.com, Merijn will also be the editor of SuperyachtTimes.com. He will focus mainly on the brokerage, refit and new construction section of the website, where his expertise is.
